Analyst Programmer PHP/Angular

Join our team in optimizing border control systems within the Schengen Area through the "Smart Borders" initiative. Contribute to projects like ETIAS, an automated travel authorization system, and EES, a system for recording entries and exits at Schengen borders.

About the role

You'll play a crucial part in developing, testing, and maintaining both mobile and stationary applications. Your work will be centered on creating PHP and JavaScript applications in a high-availability, multi-user environment, complemented by offering technical advice and tracking technological developments. Additionally, you will analyze user needs and translate them into feasible solutions, while maintaining thorough documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust mobile and fixed applications.

• Build PHP and JavaScript applications tailored for high-load, multi-user settings.

• Provide technical consultation and keep abreast of technological advancements.

• Analyze user requirements and develop practical applications.

• Produce and uphold comprehensive documentation.

• Support application maintenance and deliver technical assistance.

• Engage in both front-end and back-end component development.

• Innovate new applications and enhance existing ones.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate is a Junior level developer with a passion for agile methodologies and strong foundational skills in the following:

PHP, CodeIgniter, Smarty - JavaScript, AngularJS, JQuery - Windows 10, Office 365 - NetBeans, GIT - Red Hat Enterprise Linux, DevOps tools - Intersystems Caché, PostgreSQL

Proficiency in Dutch, French and English.
