Active in the Belgian Energy landscape, our client is seeking a seasoned Analyst to lead the implementation of a new project towards summer 2026. As part of a collaborative team of four colleagues, you will get the opportunity of playing a key role in analyzing system flexibility and providing support in project management.

About the role

In this dual position, you'll manage the project operations and contribute to data-driven flexibility analyses. This role is evenly split between project management responsibilities and analytical contributions to the project.

Key responsibilities

We expect you to:

  • Lead project management and handle scope, timing, budget, resources, and communications.

  • Coordinate with departments, including scenarios, markets, and systems operation to ensure comprehensive project integration.

  • Organize meetings with senior management and governmental services to validate and gain support.

  • Serve as a liaison with DSOs, ensuring accurate data and analyses coordination.

  • Oversee the report drafting process, providing structured content and ensuring document consistency.

  • Engage with European sector federations to adopt best practices.

  • Conduct detailed analyses of flexibility needs, incorporating historical data and system capabilities.

  • Identify and visually represent flexibility shortages.

  • Contribute to digitalization efforts and solutions for market flexibility barriers.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are seeking a professional with a strong analytical mindset and excellent project management skills.

  • Preferred master’s degree in engineering, commercial engineering, or economics.

  • You are able to translate a question into a quantitative analysis or approach.

  • You are strongly driven by facts and are able to support your reasoning in a clear way using quantitative results.

  • You have sufficient knowledge and experience regarding statistical methods (e.g. machine learning) to perform analysis on large data sets.

  • Passion for the energy sector, with knowledge of the electricity market.

  • Strong organizational skills and adept at handling complex data and strategic objectives.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Python is a plus.

  • Fluent in English, Dutch, or French, with proficiency in the other two.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
