Automotive Test Engineer

Join our team as an Automotive Test Engineer and be at the forefront of testing and validating cutting-edge transmission and driveline systems.

About the role

In this role, you will play a vital part in the setup and execution of functional and endurance tests on transmissions and components using electrical, hydraulic, and diesel testing systems. You ensure the smooth execution of testing activities, with a strong focus on safety and the successful performance of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze test specifications and define the necessary test conditions and setups.

• Coordinate and contribute to the setup or modification of test systems, including the instrumentation of test objects.

• Design frames and tools using 3D CAD software when required, and manage the procurement process to realize test setups.

• Analyze and interpret measurement results and observations, building in-depth technical knowledge.

• Prepare precise reports and documentation, sharing outcomes with requesters in line with established procedures.

• Report to the Team Lead and collaborate closely with engineering and production teams, as well as with external research centers, universities, and customers.

What we're looking for

• A Master's degree in electromechanics/automotive engineering, or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.

• You have 0-5 years professional work experience.

• Interest in vehicle drivetrains, both conventional and hybrid/electric.

• Ability to work independently on assignments from concept to delivery.

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Proficiency in Dutch and English.

• Experience or interest in 3D design software; knowledge of Matlab is a plus.
