Bid & Project Manager

About the role

As the Bid & Project Manager, you are the linchpin in transforming bids into successful projects. You will define project baselines, construct bid proposals, and manage risks and opportunities during the bid phase. Your role extends to overseeing the seamless launch of projects, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged, and navigating the intricacies of contract management, financial strategies, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the key element in bid preparation and negotiation.

• Define initial project baselines and structure solutions to customer requirements.

• Launch solution directions and plan projects according to business strategies.

• Validate bid proposals, considering stakeholder inputs and risks.

• Manage the transition from bid to project phases, involving all stakeholders.

• Oversee financial strategies, contractual agreements, and supplier negotiations.

• Drive and manage project launch and implementation phases.

• Ensure project quality, client satisfaction, and manage legal obligations.

• Conduct reporting and finalize projects with a focus on lessons learned.

What we're looking for

We seek a medior to senior professional with an engineering background and substantial project management experience.

• Minimum 5 years experience in project management in a high-tech environment.

• Experience in an international and demanding setting, preferably military/aerospace.

• Autonomous, rigorous, and resilient under pressure.

• Strong communication skills in German (B2 level) and English.

• Ability to handle contract and risk management.

• Proficiency in handling client relations and unexpected challenges.

• Open to regular travel; knowledge of defense or OEMs is advantageous.
