Business Data Lead

We are seeking a skilled Business Data Lead to drive the data quality strategy across several critical operational data domains essential to supporting key national infrastructure and market operations.

About the role

As a Business Data Lead, you will play a key role in improving the quality of forecasted renewable energy production data. Your work will support both internal teams and external stakeholders. By applying FAIR principles, you'll ensure that data is accessible, comprehensible, interoperable, and reusable. You'll be responsible for shaping and executing the data quality strategy and roadmap, serving as a vital connector between operational activities and a range of influential projects and products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document business concepts, terms, rules, and their impact within a given domain, enabling effective KPI measurements of data management quality.

• Collaborate with data partners to analyse root causes when KPI values diverge from targets.

• Actively contribute to projects that embed data quality processes within operational teams.

• Monitor KPIs, and coordinate corrective actions and improvement strategies with operational managers.

What we're looking for

We are looking for candidates familiar with the electricity domain or capable of quickly grasping its concepts, preferably with a background in electrical engineering or related technical fields. Besides that you also have:

• Experience in data management and exploitation

• Familiarity with data models and IT architecture

• Strong analytical skills for addressing complex problems

• Knowledge in Data Governance, Data Quality Management and Metadata Management

• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, with proficient English
