We are looking for a Cloud Developer with strong Google Cloud expertise, passionate about secure infrastructure, automation, and DevOps in high-stakes environments. You will play a key role in designing, configuring, and operating a secure air-gapped cloud solution.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure in an air-gapped Google Cloud environment

• Integrate and configure secure cloud services, including:

  • GitLab (CI/CD pipelines)

  • Istio service mesh

  • PKI & certificate management

  • Monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)

• Automate infrastructure deployment using Ansible and scripting tools

• Set up and manage advanced networking, security rules, and isolated access policies

• Collaborate with infrastructure architects, security teams, and DevOps engineers

• Provide operational support including incident diagnosis and resolution

• Document configurations and security-relevant system aspects

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in cloud-native development and infrastructure

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux systems, and containerization

• Experience with GitLab, Ansible, Helm, Istio, PKI, and Prometheus/Grafana monitoring

• Proven experience with:

  • Secure networking (firewalls, VPN, subnet isolation)

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) in cloud environments

• Strong scripting capabilities (e.g. Bash, Python)

• Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and DevSecOps best practices

• Ability to work in a high-security, compliance-driven environment

• Excellent communication skills in English; French or Dutch is a plus

Required Certifications (must hold one or more):

Candidates must present valid certification in at least one of the following:

• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Security Specialist

• Google Cloud Network Engineer

⚠️ Certification is mandatory due to the sensitive and regulated nature of the project.

🌐 Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working in air-gapped, classified, or defense-related IT environments

• Familiarity with ITIL, ISO 27001 or ISO 20000 frameworks

• Experience integrating cloud infrastructure with secure physical systems

This role requires a candidate with strong security awareness and willingness to comply with classified project protocols. You must be eligible for NATO Secret (SO) and/or EU Secret clearance or hold one already.
