Cryogenics Project Engineer

About the role

As a Cryogenics Engineer, you are co-responsible for the overall cryogenic equipment related to the 100 MeV superconducting linac. This includes ensuring global engineering coherence within the system and interfacing with researchers and technicians for the realization and operation of experimental facilities.

Key responsibilities

- Support all engineering activities and system integrations for the cryogenic equipment, including design, installation, and commissioning.

- Perform design consolidation and actively contribute to technical documentation for public procurement processes.

- Conduct technical follow-up on procurement contracts, manufacturing, and acceptance testing.

- Oversee cryomodule pre-qualification campaigns and ensure comprehensive documentation through all lifecycle phases.

- Participate in commissioning and operations, analyzing test results against theories and forecasts.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual with a strong background in cryogenics and accelerator technologies.

- Master's degree in physics, engineering, or a related field (PhD is an asset)

- Broad understanding of low-temperature physics and large-scale cryogenic systems

- Experience in cryogenic system design and integration

- Strong assets: Experience with cryogenic instrumentation and cryomodules specific for particle accelerators

- Professional background in R&D and strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficiency in English (C2/C1) and French (C2/C1)
