Data Architect

The Data Architect is pivotal in aligning business strategy with technology infrastructure, ensuring that IT systems, processes, and data support organizational goals. This role involves designing and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, guiding digital transformation, and overseeing enterprise data architecture to ensure data is treated as a strategic asset.

About the role

As an Data Architect, you'll be responsible for strategizing and aligning our technology infrastructure with the business goals, acting as a bridge between strategic discussions and the technical implementation of enterprise data strategies. Your expertise will guide digital transformation and ensure the data is a valuable, strategic asset.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in strategic discussions on company level and maintain a comprehensive overview of business units, their functions, and processes.

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders, and manage the integration of systems across business units and platforms.

• Design data integration patterns and establish interoperability between transactional, operational, and analytics systems.

• Manage the lifecycle of applications, platforms, and infrastructure, defining modernization and cloud migration strategies.

• Translate business needs into architectural requirements and communicate decisions and impacts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

• Identify architectural risks, ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and industry standards.

What we're looking for

• Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum 10 years experience in data architecture, engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.

• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and data integration.

• Expert knowledge in Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure and Microsoft related data technologies, and various integration technologies.

• Native proficiency in Dutch or French and active knowledge of English.
