Data & BI Consultant

Our client is collaborating on building a comprehensive data and information platform using Databricks in a Microsoft Azure Cloud environment, with Power BI serving as the reporting tool. This platform integrates various sources and applications, creating multiple data and information layers to support (advanced) analytics use cases and reporting.

About the role

As a Data & BI Consultant, you’ll join a domain team dedicated to supporting the executive management of Netbeheer. You will play a key role in expanding and maintaining a scalable data platform. Leveraging the architecture and design principles, you will analyze, model, and develop data-analytics and business intelligence use cases. You will ensure the operational upkeep of the data platform in alignment with the client’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

- Work on functional analyses/specifications and engage with stakeholders including information analysts and key users.

- Develop data models across multiple layers according to platform-specific guidelines.

- Implement technical solutions in Databricks utilizing the foundational frameworks provided.

- Participate in the development lifecycle within the platform.

- Aid in setting up validation processes through test plans and data availability.

- Ensure integrated monitoring and alerting setups to meet service level agreements.

- Keep documentation up to date in Confluence and Jira.

- Support power users and key users in resolving technical issues.

- Embark on full team integration within two weeks through self-organization and learning.

- Communicate effectively, maintain personal connections, and build rapport with the user community.

- Innovate continually, seeking optimal solutions.

- Utilize analytical skills and work in an organized and documented manner.

What we're looking for

We seek individuals with a strong affinity for data who can excel within an IT setting. Ideal profiles will have:

- Proven experience as a BI Consultant

- Expertise in data analysis and datawarehouse modeling

- Proficiency in datawarehousing concepts, ETL processes, and architectures

- Experience with Databricks, Power BI (semantic model, governance, reporting), and SQL

- Dutch at CEFR level C2
