About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer who can build, maintain, and support data pipelines, ingesting data from various operational systems, projects, and third-party sources. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of data models and support the architecture and evolution of data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines.

• Contribute to data model design and development.

• Collaborate with the Data Architect on data solutions architecture.

• Document the data landscape including sources, flows, and dependencies.

• Review and refine technical designs for consistency and scalability.

• Define and improve reporting and analytics standards.

• Provide the analytics team with essential data structures and tools.

• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and create data value.

• Operate both cloud-based and on-premise data architectures.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a dedicated Data Engineer with extensive hands-on experience, capable of demonstrating what excellence looks like and backed by practical examples.

• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in data-oriented languages (e.g., Python, Scala, Spark).

• Experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines for analytics.

• Solid data modeling abilities (UML, ER modeling, analytical schemas).

• Proficiency with Databricks and Unity Catalog.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure-based data ecosystems.

• Architectural mindset with ambition to influence data landscape shaping.

• Result-driven, hands-on approach with high standards.

• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Agile environment comfort and a natural collaborator.

• Experience with varied data types and BI tools like Power BI, Grafana, or Tableau is a plus.
