About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you contribute to the development and release of torque transfer and transmission components, with a focus on gear systems, manufacturability, durability, efficiency, cost and NVH requirements. You work across design, analysis, validation and supplier collaboration to deliver robust engineering solutions.

You collaborate with design, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and supplier teams throughout product development. Your work supports high-quality releases, prototype and pilot build activities, production issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and optimize gear pairs and planetary gear trains considering manufacturability, durability, efficiency, cost and NVH requirements

  • Perform gear design, engineering calculations, simulations and analytical studies using tools such as KISSsoft, MASTA and LDP

  • Guide CAD development through GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses for detailed component drawings

  • Lead technical requirements, specifications and design reviews for transmission components and subsystems

  • Prepare and maintain engineering deliverables, including EBOMs, CAD models, drawings and technical documentation

  • Coordinate DFM reviews and supplier meetings to support sourcing, quotation, process changes and engineering change management

  • Support validation, DFMEA, DVP&R, prototype builds, root cause investigations and corrective action development

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are looking for an analytical mechanical engineering profile with a strong interest in gear design, transmission systems and manufacturing processes, able to work collaboratively in a demanding product development environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field

  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals

  • Strong interest in gear design, transmission systems and manufacturing processes

  • Understanding of product development processes and engineering documentation

  • Familiarity with KISSsoft, MASTA or LDP is an advantage

  • Knowledge of APQP tools and methodologies is considered a plus

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is considered an asset
