About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you will contribute to the mechanical development of an industrial piping system portfolio for compressed air, vacuum and inert gases. The role combines 3D CAD design, component optimisation and product release management from concept to production release.

You will work in a mechanical product development environment with international colleagues, suppliers, manufacturing teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Your focus is on practical designs that balance performance, manufacturability, cost and sustainability, while keeping engineering documentation accurate, traceable and ready for release.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for industrial piping systems in 3D CAD

  • Manage product data through the PLM release process, ensuring documentation remains accurate and traceable

  • Optimise plastic and aluminium cast parts with attention to manufacturability, cost and performance

  • Lead technical engineering projects from scoping and planning through to production release

  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing teams and cross-functional stakeholders to keep projects moving

  • Track progress against deadlines and address technical issues during development or production

  • Support design verification and validation activities for new or updated products

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We’re looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who combines product development expertise with structured project execution and strong collaboration skills.

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical product development and 3D CAD design

  • Experience with casting design for plastic and/or aluminium components

  • Knowledge of PLM release processes, with Enovia experience relevant to the role

  • Track record of running technical projects, including planning, stakeholder coordination and deadline tracking

  • Familiarity with design verification and validation activities

  • Structured, hands-on and quality-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and in a team

  • Fluent English is required; Dutch is an asset
