Designer HV

The Designer HV creates design plans during the preliminary and study phases for new high voltage (HV) installations or modifications to existing HV installations. They also collaborate with other departments like Powerlinks and Civil Works.

About the role

As a Designer for HV, you will conduct feasibility and preliminary studies in collaboration with the Project Leader. You will prepare permit plans necessary for applications, create execution plans including layout, equipment, and steel structure plans, and compile accompanying documents such as plan lists, terminal lists, and steel structure lists. Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc support to the Project Leader during execution works, approaching tasks proactively and with a problem-solving mentality. It’s possible to work autonomously or under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility and preliminary studies in collaboration with the Project Leader.

• Prepare permit and execution plans.

• Create detailed documents: plan lists, terminal lists, steel structure lists.

• Support the Project Leader with ad-hoc assistance during execution works.

• Problem-solve and execute tasks proactively.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a qualified Designer HV Service with the following profile:

• Bachelor or master degree in electromechanics, electrical engineering or energy.

• Basic knowledge of electricity and high voltage.

• Proficiency with MS Office and CAD software (3D experience preferred).

• A proactive, customer-oriented communicator who values teamwork and resourcefulness.

• Fluent in French with a good understanding of Dutch. Bilingualism is a plus.
