Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. You'll work collaboratively with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into complete machine designs, all while maintaining a focus on safety and compliance. Your contributions will be key to advancing our industrial automation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric.

• Ensure compliance with CE marking requirements and UL standards.

• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete machine designs.

• Perform risk assessments and ensure machinery safety in accordance with ISO 12100, ISO 13849, and other relevant standards.

• Support the development of technical documentation, including BOMs, wiring lists, and test procedures.

• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during manufacturing and commissioning.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical design best practices, safety standards, and regulatory changes.

• Apply CMSE principles to ensure functional safety and risk mitigation in machine design.

• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations on the selection and implementation of new electrical parts.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical design for industrial machinery.

• Proficiency in EPLAN Electric.

• Strong knowledge of CE and UL standards for electrical systems.

• Familiarity with safety standards such as IEC 60204-1, ISO 13849, and EN 62061.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.
