Electrical Designer

About the role

The Electrical Designer is responsible for designing and drafting technical solutions, such as electrical circuits and cabinet layouts, to meet operational and commercial needs. This role requires creativity, problem-solving skills, and customer focus within your area of expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage design assignments.

• Study sketches, design drawings, read documentation and verifying the accuracy of provided information.

• Perform measurements and develop design tasks using specialized CAD/design software, from concept to final execution drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements.

• Create and update electrical schematics and drawings (e.g., P&IDs, building and piping layouts) for installations, structures, tools, and accessories.

• Perform calculations (e.g., strength, cable sizing) and select materials and components considering technical, safety, and budget requirements.

• Monitor the drawing database to guarantee qualitative and up-to-date plans for the clients.

• Share technical expertise and design information with colleagues to support their work.

• Prepare or review CE, MOC, and construction files.

• Prepare specifications, request quotations, and compile technical construction files.

What we're looking for

We're seeking an individual with an intermediate level of expertise in AutoCAD, Caneco, EPlan, and knowledge of AREI, among other requirements. The ideal candidate will be a native Dutch speaker and possess:

• A Master’s degree in the field of Electrical/Electromechanical/Industrial Engineering.

• A BA4 certificate (or willing to get it).

• Advanced knowledge of nuclear safety and instrumentation.

• Advanced competency with specialist calculation software and technical drawing programs.

• Proficiency and experience in technical construction and documentation processes.

• Thorough understanding of instrumentation and KZ instructions specific to the work domain.

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
