Electrical Designer

Passionate about creating innovative, high-quality design standards for high-voltage substations? Play a key role here in developing 3D models and 2D standard drawings that comply with technical and regulatory requirements.

About the role

In this position, you will design and review standard drawings for high-voltage substations, including both Air-Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS). Your mission involves consulting with experts, archiving and providing drawings for project teams, and supporting project designers in selecting the appropriate standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and update 3D models and 2D standard drawings for high-voltage substations (AIS and GIS), including all components: busbars, bays, foundation blocks, steel structures, electrical equipment, etc.

• Review and improve existing drawings according to evolving standards (new framework agreements, changes in technical principles, etc.).

• Work closely with experts to refine and validate drawings.

• Archive and share drawings with internal and external users.

• Advise project teams on the most suitable standard for each case.

• Contribute to the dissemination of updates and best practices to users.

• Provide feedback on drawing methodology and propose improvements.

• Participate in the selection and implementation of future design tools.

What we are looking for

• Holder of a diploma in technical drawing or equivalent experience

• Full proficiency in French or Dutch, with a good understanding of English

• Skills in MicroStation or other design tools

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office

• Experience in 3D modeling

• Ability to create 2D plans from 3D models

• Motivation to learn and become an expert in the field

• Initiative, autonomy in work while being comfortable in a team
