Electrical Engineer - Senior

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you are at the forefront of designing and implementing electrical installations. Translate stakeholder input into efficient designs, guide external engineering teams, and navigate technical discussions with suppliers. Your role includes developing technical specifications, managing orders, and ensuring timely deliveries. Join us to spearhead project preparation, execute cost estimation and planning, and safeguard project scope, budget, and timing. Embrace security and testing as you select and implement safety measures, ensure compliance, and lead pre-commissioning and functional testing at startup. Be the electrical support during standstills, quickly resolving on-site issues.

About the role

As a crucial part of our engineering team, your expertise shapes the future of electrical installations for a variety of projects, from minor replacements to complex systems involving acids, gases, electro-filters, and mudguns. You will thrive in a dynamic site-based role where your work will be integral during periodic shutdowns.

Key responsibilities

- Designing and realizing electrical installations, integrating stakeholder insights.

- Directing external engineering teams for detail design.

- Developing technical specifications and steering discussions with suppliers.

- Conducting pricing requests, processing orders, and ensuring delivery follow-ups.

- Preparing and monitoring projects, including cost estimation, planning, and scope management.

- Leading security selections, testing, pre-commissioning, and start-up functional testing.

- Providing on-site electrical support and problem solving during project execution.

What we're looking for

We seek a seasoned professional with at least 6 years of electrical engineering experience and a robust background in industrial electrical maintenance. The ideal candidate thrives in an industrial environment and holds at least a bachelor's degree with specialization or affinity in electricity or electromechanics.

- Proficiency in electricity and electrical networks.

- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, PLC controls, power electronics, and industrial communication networks.

- Understanding of PL/SIL norms.

- Experience in end-to-end installation responsibility, cable calculations (Caneco knowledge is a plus), and using electrical drafting packages (AutoCAD preferred).

- Experience outsourcing through engineering consultancies like SWECO.

- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work autonomously, and Dutch fluency with English proficiency.
