Electrical project engineer

About the role

As an electrical project engineer at VeroTech, you contribute to the development of industrial energy-conversion solutions focused on steam processes and lower-carbon operation. You follow projects from concept and lab prototype through to series production, helping turn technical ideas into reliable products.

You work closely with project leaders, project engineers, suppliers and different internal disciplines. Your scope connects electrical design, component qualification, controls, production readiness, logistics, sales processes and aftermarket support, with collaboration across local and international engineering environments.

Key responsibilities

• Select main electrical components, including motors and variable speed drives

• Coordinate the design and release of electrical schematics, electrical BOMs and wiring

• Define functional specifications for motors, drives, solenoid valves, sensors, contactors, transformers and filters

• Develop, program and implement control strategies across software and hardware

• Follow up qualification of electrical components and discuss electrical cabinet design with suppliers

• Support realization of electrical cabinets and wiring, including production and field installation follow-up

• Troubleshoot quality and performance issues, implement solutions and apply standards such as IEC, UL, CSA and IEEE

What we're looking for

We are looking for an engineering profile with strong electrical design interest, broad technical insight and the communication skills to work across teams and organisational levels.

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience

• Strong general technical knowledge and a passion for electrical design

• Fluent English communication skills across different levels within the organisation

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN is a plus

• Experience with machine controls and control programming is a plus, for example Siemens TIA or Simatic

• Experience in a product development environment is a strong advantage

• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
