About the role

As part of a project team, you will be responsible for specifying, designing, developing, validating, and testing embedded electronics hardware and software.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of product Statements of Work (SOW).

  • Own the design of assigned products, ensuring full compliance with system architecture, development standards, and validation requirements.

  • Produce technical documentation, including:

    • Hardware Description Documents (HDD);

    • Requirement Specifications;

    • Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).

  • Manage and monitor subcontracted tasks, ensuring quality, timelines, and technical alignment.

  • Actively contribute to integration and validation phases.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineering, operations, prototyping, and software.

  • Participate in design and industrialization reviews, providing technical input and risk assessments.

  • Provide technical support during product development, both internally and at customer or supplier sites.

  • Support the Project Manager with cost tracking, schedule monitoring, and technical reporting.

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve defects or issues identified throughout development phases.

  • Build and validate proof‑of‑concepts, including electronic breadboards or development boards, prior to final design integration.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in embedded (hardware) solutions and electronics development. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing embedded solutions, electronic cards, and software.

  • Experience in communication interfaces/protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, TCP/IP, MIL-STD-1553/MIL-STD-1790.

  • Proficiency in power electronics, high-frequency electronics, analog/digital electronics, PCB schematics, and assembly.

  • Competence with oscilloscopes/logic analyzers and LTspice.

  • Fluency in English and French.

  • Additional experience with computer vision, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity is a plus.
