About the role

In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement embedded software in C and Python, focusing on microcontroller and microprocessor platforms such as STM32, Nvidia, Intel, and Rockchip. Your work will involve integrating and debugging embedded systems to ensure optimal functionality and performance within constraints like memory and computational power.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize embedded software

  • Work with microcontroller and microprocessor platforms

  • Integrate and debug to enhance system performance

  • Document software design and technical specifications

  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and team members

  • Mentor and coach junior embedded developers

  • Contribute to technical roadmap and product development

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We seek a skilled professional with a strong foundation in embedded software development and exceptional technical capabilities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in embedded software development

  • Proficiency in programming languages, specifically C and experience with Python scripting

  • Knowledge of embedded Linux and familiarity with FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr is a plus

  • Expertise in microcontrollers and microprocessors (e.g., ARM, STM32) and low-level hardware/software interaction

  • Strong debugging and software integration skills

  • Dutch native or bilingual proficiency and fluency in English
