About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you will contribute to embedded automotive base software for advanced ECU-based products. You will develop, integrate and maintain software functionalities in a safety-critical environment, working closely with system, application, verification and validation teams.

Your work focuses on robust, well-documented and high-quality software solutions based on Classic AUTOSAR. You will help solve complex technical issues, support testing activities and strengthen the reliability of embedded software throughout its lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

  • Specify, design, implement and document embedded software functionalities

  • Develop new software and maintain existing embedded product software

  • Configure, integrate and maintain Classic AUTOSAR modules

  • Collaborate with system and application software teams to solve complex technical challenges

  • Support verification and validation teams by contributing to test specifications and test cases

  • Diagnose and resolve software-level issues in embedded ECU environments

Job requirements

What we're looking for

You are an experienced embedded software engineer with strong automotive software expertise, a structured way of working and the communication skills to collaborate across technical teams.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required

  • More than 4 years of experience in Classic AUTOSAR-based embedded software development is required

  • Experience with Classic AUTOSAR module configuration, integration and maintenance is required

  • Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures and software design patterns is required

  • Experience with automotive software development standards such as ASPICE is required

  • Experience with multicore ECU architectures is required

  • Knowledge of software architecture principles, technical documentation, static and dynamic code analysis, and agile development environments

  • Experience with Vector tools, MICROSAR, ISO 26262, MISRA C, ISO 21434, bootloader design, HSM firmware or automotive OEM requirements is a plus

  • Fluent English, good stakeholder management skills and a pragmatic, proactive, organised and solution-oriented mindset
