Join the Regional Fiber Design team as an expert Fiber Engineer, shaping the future of fiber networks in the Kortrijk – Ieper region!

Job description

For our Regional Fiber Design team, we're seeking an experienced Fiber Engineer to act as a content expert for the Kortrijk – Ieper region.

About the role

As a Fiber Engineer, you'll be responsible for fiber moves, capacity upgrades, and the technical guidance of complex infrastructure projects. You'll work on existing, often complex networks, translating engineering guidelines into operational reality.

Key responsibilities

You'll handle fiber moves and capacity upgrades within the assigned region, serve as the regional fiber expert and technical contact.

You'll analyze projects from design (HLD) to execution, draft designs and impact analyses for network relocations, coordinate with contractors, plan execution times, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders (inspectors, regional managers, partners).

Availability is expected during execution moments, including occasional night work, with an on-call availability of up to two times a week, not structurally.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge of fiber engineering at the regional/network level.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Assertive and proactive, with a willingness to take ownership

Nice to have:
