About the role

As the Engineering Manager, you will be tasked with ensuring the quality and efficiency of engineering deliverables in tenders and projects. Your role will involve harmonizing and synchronizing collaboration among various engineering disciplines, while leading a team through people management, team development, and resource planning. We strive for continuous improvement in our practices, tools, procedures, and internal standards with a focus on more integrated and AI-driven methodologies. You'll also support our commercial efforts by representing the department to customers, promoting smart technical solutions, and ensuring that contractual specifications and performance criteria are achievable and clearly defined.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex tender requests, define a game plan, and allocate resources for high-quality results.

• Lead and motivate large teams of design engineers, defining a shared vision.

• Ensure health and safety aspects are continuously integrated and improved in engineering work.

• Convince customers of the added value delivered by our solutions.

• Guarantee respect for the allocated budget.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in engineering and over 5 years of experience in thermal processes (familiarity with Waste-to-Energy is advantageous).

• An additional 10 years in a project-driven industrial environment, preferably with EPC project experience.

• A solid understanding of QA, ISO 9001, CE certification, and public procurement processes in Belgium and France.

• Good knowledge of contemporary management methods and project financials.

• Strong contractual awareness and risk management skills.

• Client-oriented and results-driven with a solution-oriented attitude.

• Proven leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.

• Good level of French, Dutch, and English.
