Expert Project Manager

As Vreemdelingenzaken embarks on a comprehensive digital transformation under the eMigration program, we are seeking an Expert Project Manager to lead and implement key business-oriented applications.

About the role

In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate the planning and execution of complex IT projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across various teams. Your expertise will drive the realization of innovative solutions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, assigning tasks to team resources.

• Organize and coordinate team meetings to maintain project momentum.

• Facilitate ad hoc meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment.

• Manage project change requests and escalate significant variances.

• Regularly report project status to stakeholders and manage vendor relationships effectively.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a seasoned Project Manager who combines strategic insight with hands-on experience to drive complex projects to success.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role.

• Expertise in iterative methodologies for IT projects.

• Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies.

• Proven experience with large-scale IT projects.

• Business process re-engineering experience.

• Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

• Interest in understanding project context and strong analytical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal communication and listening abilities.

• Proficient in change management and application management.

• Fluent in Dutch or French, with proficiency in English.
