HLD Engineer – COAX & Infra

Join our team as a High-Level Design Engineer and play a crucial role in designing coax and fiber optic networks in the Antwerp region. As a member of our design team, you’ll stay updated on the latest technologies within fixed networks to efficiently contribute to construction projects.

About the role

You will be responsible for designing coax networks and associated infrastructure, working closely with colleagues to ensure your designs are executed flawlessly. Stay informed about technological advancements and new fixed network developments, delivering completed designs to field colleagues for physical realization. Your role is integral to the project lifecycle, from design conception to seeing the results in the streets of Antwerp.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in coordination meetings and site visits to strengthen design analysis.

• Create high-level designs (HLDs) using professional graphic tools.

• Prioritize and manage a regional project portfolio with accountability.

• Own and coordinate all design activities as the regional point of contact.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with fiber engineers, site coordinators, and utility companies on network impacts.

• Work closely with low-level design (LLD) engineers to translate concepts into detailed designs.

• Review and validate detailed designs to ensure execution readiness.

• Manage minor scope changes and keep designs up to date.

• Engage directly with site coordinators to support project follow-up.

• Deliver across diverse projects while maintaining consistent partnerships.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience,

• Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively,

• Technical understanding of COAX and FTTH networks,

• Flexible and adaptable to changing projects and priorities,

• Knowledge of utilities and public infrastructure works (plus),

• Based in the Antwerp province,

• Professional proficiency in Dutch,

• Valid Category B driving license.
