Infrastructure Architect

As an Infrastructure Architect at VeroTech, you will play a pivotal role in our application outsourcing program with SMALS, focusing on the operational takeover of approximately 100 commercial applications. This long-term assignment will require you to define processes, deploy standards, prepare infrastructure documentation, and ensure that service deployments align with enterprise standards.

About the role

You will be at the core of our COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf products) takeover team, evaluating proposed implementations and defining installation processes. Your responsibility extends to preparing infrastructure documentation and conducting technical impact assessments. In collaboration with team leaders, you will coordinate and validate administrator work during deployments.

Key responsibilities

- Define installation processes and deployment standards for COTS.

- Prepare infrastructure documentation for service deployment.

- Conduct technical impact assessments and prepare evaluation reports.

- Coordinate and validate administrator work during deployment implementation.

- Ensure service deployment aligns with enterprise standards; provide documentation where necessary.

- Continuously evaluate and improve technical procedures for quality enhancement.

What we're looking for

We seek a system architect with strong expertise in infrastructure and service deployment.

- Proficient in defining and documenting deployment architectures.

- Knowledge of modeling notations (UML, Network diagrams, ArchiMate).

- Advanced knowledge in Linux and Windows system administration.

- Understanding of system security best practices.

- Familiarity with authentication systems (AD, LDAP, OAuth2, OpenID, FAS).

- Experience with containerization systems and orchestrators: OpenShift, Kubernetes.

- Understanding of virtualization systems (ESX, VMWare, Cloudform, vCenter).

- Deep knowledge of networking and network security principles.

- Experience with automation tools (Ansible).

- Proficiency in hosting application stacks and database systems.
