Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you work within a multidisciplinary team of development within the engineering department. You specify, design, develop, validate, and test embedded software solutions and will support multiple projects, working with innovated systems and tools in a high-tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define software solutions based on system specifications and allocate performance requirements.

• Write low- and high-level software requirements using specialized tools, ensuring traceability.

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ for microprocessors, whether on bare metal or Linux RTOS architectures.

• Address real-time application constraints such as communications, memory concurrency, and multi-thread management.

• Ensure top-notch software quality using configuration management tools like GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins, and SonarQube.

• Conduct unit testing, debug low-level software with oscilloscopes, and implement continuous integration systems.

What we’re looking for

• A Master's Degree in Software or Electronic Engineering

• 7+ years of experience

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and real-time applications.

• Solid understanding of microcontrollers and embedded real-time solutions.

• Experience with FPGA development using VHDL and communication protocols like CAN, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet TCP-IP, MIL-STD-1553/1760, and ARINC429.

• Familiarity with aeronautical, spatial, defense, or automotive industries is a plus. Knowledge of standards like DO-178, ARP4754, or ISO26262 is highly desirable.

• Proficient in English, French is desirable.
