About the role

VeroTech is seeking a Senior Software Engineer passionate about creating innovative solutions and reshaping the digital realm. You focus on integrating cloud, data, and AI components while making strategic technology decisions to balance rapid delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Convert user stories into practical implementations aligned with software architecture.

• Produce high-quality, documented, and unit-tested code, while mentoring team members.

• Leverage skills in scripting languages (Node.js, TypeScript) and their ecosystems; Python is advantageous.

• Develop integration strategies for third-party components.

• Design interfaces for cloud backends (REST) and/or IoT systems, if applicable.

• Contribute to cloud and backend development, including AWS, databases, and DevOps processes.

What we’re looking for

• A Master’s degree in Engineering

• Over 5 years of experience in enterprise-scale software development.

• Ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues.

• Produces self-explanatory, independently understandable code.

• Thrives in a global organization, working autonomously.

• Prior exposure to healthcare-related technologies (preferred but not mandatory).

• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
