IT Support & Services Specialist – Senior Level

About the role

Be the first line of defense in a mission-critical IT environment.

As a Senior Support & Service Consultant, you will be the go-to expert for all IT-related questions and incidents across the organization. Your responsibilities range from diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues to supporting business-critical applications. Leveraging your strong knowledge of ITIL processes, you ensure efficient service management and contribute to operational stability. Additionally, you play a key role in promoting security awareness and helping to prevent potential security risks through proactive engagement and best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver first-line support to end users via phone, email, and ticketing systems

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.)

  • Support application issues and ensure proper resolution or timely escalation

  • Apply ITIL processes to manage service requests, incidents, and changes

  • Promote security awareness and compliance with IT security measures

  • Document solutions and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

  • Maintain proactive and clear communication with users, ensuring timely follow-up

  • Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex problems and optimize processes

Job requirements

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking an experienced and customer-focused IT professional with a solid background in helpdesk operations and a strong security mindset. Here’s what we need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a helpdesk or service desk environment

  • Proven knowledge and hands-on application of ITIL processes

  • Familiarity with IT security principles and awareness of potential threats

  • Experience supporting users with hardware, system software, and diverse business applications

  • Problem-solving attitude with a strong customer service orientation

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team

  • Proficient with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Topdesk, 4me)

  • Strong command of Office 365

  • Language: Dutch (native or bilingual), English and French (nice to have)
