Jr. Data Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our data platforms. You'll help develop and support essential data systems, ensuring seamless data ingestion and precise access management to uphold our standards.

Key responsibilities

• Data ingestion and Pipeline development: Develop and maintain Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines for ingesting data from various source systems. Ensure data quality, lineage, and monitoring are embedded in ingestion workflows when needed.

• Access & Security Management: Establish and manage table-level access controls using Unity Catalog or other Databricks-native solutions. Collaborate with Infrastructure team and other teams to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting for data pipelines. Be cautious with performance and costs, following best practices defined.

• Support: Assist the team with activities related to Infrastructure management or requests from different teams using the Databricks platform.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer who is eager to learn and grow within a collaborative environment. Key competencies include:

• Proficiency in Python and SQL

• Experience with Databricks

• Ability to work in English; knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus
