Junior Model-based Engineer

About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you will work in an industrial model-based engineering environment at the intersection of engineering, data and software. You will support applications used for machine testing, field monitoring, condition monitoring and internal engineering operations.

This junior role offers a broad technical scope rather than one single project. You will move between MATLAB applications, APIs, databases, desktop tools and cloud infrastructure, contributing to practical software and data solutions with training and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software around an AI-driven analysis tool that estimates machine component condition from measurement data

• Work on a MATLAB application used for manual condition analyses

• Maintain and improve the REST API and SQL database supporting automated analyses

• Help rework a MATLAB application used during final inspection of new machines

• Build modular test application solutions that can be deployed flexibly across different test setups

• Maintain and improve internal engineering desktop tools written in C#/.NET

• Maintain backend components, including APIs, databases and Azure infrastructure

What we're looking for

We are looking for a curious and versatile junior engineer with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in combining engineering, data and software development.

• Recently graduated or equipped with a few years of experience

• Master of Science in Engineering, preferably in mathematical engineering techniques

• An engineering degree in computer science or a related field is also accepted

• Strong analytical foundation and a clear affinity for programming

• Interest in working with tools and technologies such as MATLAB, Python, C#, .NET, REST API, SQL and Azure

• Able to work independently and take a proactive approach

• Curious, versatile and able to switch easily between different applications and technologies

• Knowledge of Dutch and English
