Junior SDS Design Engineer

Every landmark starts with a model. As our Junior SDS Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in projects that communities will rely on for decades. You’re going to get integrated in a team with experienced designers and electric engineers, receiving comprehensive training to excel in your role.

About the role

As a Junior SDS Design Engineer, you will contribute to various tasks related to the 3D modelling of substations. You’ll leverage your skills to carry out 3D modelling in the Substation Design Suite and integrate existing models into modern templates. Our team will assist you throughout the process, ensuring you gain valuable experience and knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate and integrate existing 3D models into new SDS templates.

• Identify legacy 3D objects and replace them with SDS catalogue objects.

• Enhance 3D models by adding cables, terrain, and buildings per source plans.

• Perform quality control checks, including georeferencing in Lambert 2008.

• Create and annotate 2D layouts for permit and engineering purposes.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in industrial design.

• Knowledge of TSO electric transport markets.

• Experience with CAD and 3D modelling applications.

• Seen as a plus: familiarity with Substation Design Suite, Bentley Open Utilities Substation, and Autocad.

• Professional in English, with fluency in either Dutch or French (both preferred).
