Junior Technical Designer

Join us as a Junior Technical Designer, where you'll have a fiirst experience in designing and realizing electric installations and systems like protection, automation, and control. Collaborate closely with project engineers, technicians, and experts, contributing your expertise to dynamic and innovative projects.

About the role

Your main duties will involve designing electric installations, working within project norms and standards. The role is divided into two phases: In the study phase, you'll adapt standard drawings, ensuring quality and integration within existing substations using AutoCAD. During the construction phase, you'll solve on-site problems, liaise with contractors and technicians, and ensure smooth project execution at the client.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in site and supplier visits to see designs come to life

• Design and adapt secondary system drawings using AutoCAD, based on project notes and client standards

• Perform quality checks to ensure accurate and reliable designs

• Work closely with project engineers to solve technical challenges

• Coordinate drawings with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Support construction and commissioning, collaborating with contractors and technicians to resolve issues

• Help troubleshoot secondary systems issues on site together with the project leader and field teams

What we're looking for

• Technical qualification in electricity, electromechanics, automation, or engineering

• Interest in design work; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus

• Team player with strong communication and a customer-focused mindset

• Detail-oriented, accurate, and well-organised

• Highly motivated to learn and grow into an expert role

• Good knowledge of Dutch or French and willingness to learn the other language
