About the role

As an MCU Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for executing calibration work packages using advanced equipment and adhering to robust processes.

Your focus will be on fine-tuning parameters, validating control strategies, and ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability of Motor Control Unit and e-Drive systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and conduct test plans to calibrate and validate e-Drive systems under various operating conditions, utilizing different test setups such as e-Drive test benches and chassis dynamometers.

  • Perform comprehensive drivability assessments, supported by data acquisition systems.

  • Manage and maintain calibration datasets for software modules.

  • Collaborate across disciplines to address challenges and share insights with customers and team members.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about automotive engineering and MCU calibration.

If you have a strong foundation in e-Drive systems and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team, we want to hear from you!

  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or related field.

  • 2-5 years’ experience in powertrain calibration or controls engineering for e-Drive systems, with a focus on MCU calibration.

  • Strong knowledge of electric motor fundamentals, power electronics, and motor control algorithms.

  • Proficiency in calibration tools and data acquisition systems like Vector CANape or ETAS INCA.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel and work in Sint-Truiden or Lommel.

  • Independent, systematic work style and a goal-oriented, problem-solving approach.
