About the role

Within our Fluidics and MEMS group, your work will focus around the characterization of new optomechanical, acoustic, and inertial microchips, fabricated using both silicon and polymer technology. As a Measurement and Automation Engineer, you will:

Key responsibilities

  • Execute established measurement methods for mechanical characterization.

  • Develop new test setups for MEMS characterization, perform measurements, and process acquired data.

  • Support measurement standardization and automation initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with MEMS design, processing, and characterization teams.

  • Prepare technical reports and communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We seek a driven engineer with strong technical and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Proven hands-on experience with measurement setups and laboratory equipment, such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, and laser Doppler vibrometers.

  • Proficiency in experimental engineering techniques, including alignment, calibration, and noise mitigation.

  • Comfortable using software tools such as Python and MATLAB for automation and data analysis.

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, including sample handling and strict adherence to safety procedures.

  • Knowledge of microfabrication techniques and MEMS design is a strong asset.

  • Excellent communication skills and professional proficiency in English are mandatory.
