About the role

We are looking for an experienced engineer who can create technical drawings, finalize tolerances, and prepare production documentation according to our internal standards. In this role, you play a key part in developing and optimizing systems that involve fiber‑sensitive components, ensuring their accurate integration and protection.

Key responsibilities

- Design and model mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on machine building and precision mechanics

- Develop technical drawings, set tolerances, and create production documentation

- Collaborate with R&D, production, and testing departments for design validation and improvement

- Support problem analysis, design reviews, and technical decision-making processes

- Ensure proper version control and documentation within our PLM system

What we're looking for

We seek a dynamic engineer with the following qualifications:

- Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

- Strong expertise in mechanical CAD design (software choice is flexible: SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.)

- Proven background in machine construction and/or precision mechanical structures

- Experience or understanding of fiber-sensitive components and related design challenges

- Analytical, precise, and comfortable working in a high-tech development environment

- Flexibility in seniority with approximately 5 years of experience

- Proficient in English and Dutch (basic proficiency)
