Join our dynamic R&D team as a Mechanical Designer, In our client you'll play a key role in developing robust mechanical components. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on capacity within a team of 30 professionals, designing meticulously robust components like camera enclosures and protection systems.

About the role

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating precise mechanical drawings, focusing on accuracy and error prevention in order processes. While high precision is critical, nanometer-level accuracy is not required. Your role will involve working with various materials, including plastics and metals, to deliver well-documented and structured designs. This position requires engineers to join us by the end of next week.

Key responsibilities

- Design robust mechanical components and protective systems.

- Collaborate within an R&D team of 30 members.

- Ensure the accuracy of technical drawings and error prevention.

- Structure documentation aligning with best practices.

- Utilize knowledge of materials and component integration.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are seeking an engineer with the following profile and competencies:

- 5–7 years of experience in mechanical design.

- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (not civil engineering).

- Proficiency in Dutch at a native or bilingual level, and good command of English.

- Practical experience with Autodesk Inventor.

- Experience working with (electro)mechanical components like rails and enclosures.

- Knowledge of materials like plastics, metals, and sealing techniques.

- A hands-on mentality with a pragmatic approach. - Strong skills in technical documentation and error prevention.
