Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you play a key role in designing and realizing technical solutions that contribute to efficient and eco-friendly metal refining and recycling.

About the role

In this position, you are involved in mechanical aspects of multidisciplinary projects — from the concept phase through to commissioning.

Your work will directly support the transformation of raw materials into high-value products used in advanced technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Translate project requirements into detailed mechanical designs.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners.

• Lead technical discussions with suppliers, prepare specifications, request quotations, and follow up on deliveries.

• Work alongside the Project Manager to prepare cost estimates, schedules, and ensure projects stay on budget and on time.

• Oversee site activities, coordinate contractors, and ensure a smooth project completion and handover.

• Support the start-up and commissioning phase, ensuring systems operate according to specifications.

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

• Several years of experience in mechanical design, project engineering, or similar roles.

• Good knowledge of machines, pumps, piping, and thermodynamics.

• Experience with 2D/3D design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

• Fluent in Dutch and English.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
