Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

For this role, you work closely with project leaders, project engineers, and designers. Your role will involve close collaboration with test engineers and technicians in the prototype test lab, maintaining regular contact with various departments such as purchasing, production, service, and design review.

Key responsibilities

You will design components and systems using 3D-CAD and further detail them in 2D, determine specifications of parts like gears, bearings, and seals, and monitor prototypes from assembly to testing.

Liaising with suppliers and colleagues from other product teams to optimize designs, you will draft technical instructions and specifications adhering to relevant standards (ISO, CE, PED, ASME, etc.), ensuring documentation, drawings, and bills of materials are accurate and up-to-date. Once familiar with the products, you will support production and service departments with technical queries or quality enhancements.

The role blends creative design work with hands-on technical follow-through in an international environment centered on innovation.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in electromechanics or mechanical engineering and has experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.

You should have a basic knowledge of electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical or E-plan) and a strong affinity for mechanical systems and practical technical applications.

Knowledge in steam installations is a must.

Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
