About the role

The NPI Production Engineer is responsible for leading the transition of new ASIC products from engineering development into scalable, controlled production. This role ensures robust operational flow, reliable test strategies, and full traceability throughout the NPI lifecycle.

The engineer works cross-functionally with design, test, quality, and operations teams to analyze engineering data, optimize processes, and maintain structured documentation for ASIC development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and set up the operations flow during engineering builds.

• Develop and document process flows for prototype and pilot production.

• Ensure manufacturing readiness for ASIC NPI projects.

• Identify risks and implement mitigation plans during early builds.

• Support transition from engineering phase to volume production.

What we're looking for

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or related field.

• Statistical knowledge: Proficient with statistical analysis and data interpretation.

• ASIC test knowledge: Solid understanding of ASIC test methodologies, including wafer sort, final test, and characterization, with hands-on experience in ATE environments and test program validation.

• ASIC qualification knowledge: In-depth understanding of ASIC qualification flows (e.g., HTOL, ESD, Latch-up, Temperature Cycling) with familiarity in JEDEC standards and reliability requirements.

• Production Yield Monitoring Experience: hands-on experience monitoring ASIC yield during engineering and volume production, identifying yield excursions and implementing corrective actions and familiarity with yield dashboards and traceability systems.
