Job description
As an NVH Simulation Engineer at VeroTech, you will spearhead virtual NVH analysis to optimize gear and system-level designs crucial for the advancement of next-generation transmissions. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in achieving optimal NVH performance.
About the role
Delve into the world of NVH simulation where your primary focus will be the development and sustenance of simulation models tailored for hybrid eDCT transmissions. This includes addressing gear whine, gear mesh excitation, rattle and torsional dynamics, along with structure-borne and airborne noise pathways.
Key responsibilities
Develop and maintain NVH simulation models for hybrid eDCT transmissions.
Perform modal, harmonic, and forced response analyses at component, subsystem, and system level.
Correlate simulation results with test data (bench, rig, and vehicle) and drive model improvements.
Support design optimization (gears, shafts, bearings, housings, electric motor) with NVH targets in mind.
Support supplier technical reviews and validation activities related to NVH performance.
Job requirements
What we're looking for
We are seeking a skilled engineer with a robust foundation in NVH simulation and practical experience in automotive driveline or powertrain environments.
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
3+ years of experience in NVH CAE simulation within automotive driveline or powertrain development
Hands-on experience with CAE tools such as MASTA, Ansa, Abaqus, Nastran, and Excite M.
Solid understanding of vibration theory, acoustics, and signal processing.
Strong understanding of transmission systems, gears, bearings, and rotating machinery.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment and communicate technical results clearly.
