PDK Engineer

About the role

As a PDK Engineer, plays a key role in advancing semiconductor design enablement through the creation and validation of DRC/LVS checks and PEX. Leverages deep expertise in PDK structures and process technologies to develop robust libraries and PCells, integrate and verify EDA tools, and ensure seamless documentation and user support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate DRC, LVS, and PEX rule decks to ensure full design compliance with foundry process specifications and manufacturability standards.

• Design, script, and maintain parameterized PCells and device libraries, enabling accurate and efficient schematic capture and layout generation.

• Integrate and verify EDA tools within custom design flows, optimizing compatibility and performance across Cadence, Synopsys, and Mentor environments.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, while providing hands-on support and training to design teams for PDK deployment and troubleshooting.

• Manage version control and repository structures to maintain consistency, traceability, and smooth collaboration across multi-site development teams.

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor.

• Deep understanding of PDK structures and semiconductor process technologies.

• Solid knowledge of layout design and verification methodologies.

• Comfort working in Linux environments, with scripting skills in Python, Tcl, or Shell.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly across teams.

• Complete English proficiency.
