Join the forefront of technology as a Photonics Qualification Engineer at VeroTech. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the reliability assessment of cutting-edge Silicon Photonics components & optical devices.

About the role

In this pivotal position, you'll meticulously plan and execute the reliability testing of Photonics & Optics projects, particularly focusing on electromigration (EM) and high-temperature operating life (HTOL) assessments. This role requires adept management of multiple parallel projects, ensuring timely and accurate results delivery.

Key responsibilities

Plan and schedule reliability tests for Photonics & Optics projects, especially EM and HTOL assessments.

Execute reliability experiments following defined protocols and project timelines.

Collect, organize, and conduct initial analysis of test data.

Deliver results within deadlines, managing multiple parallel reliability projects.

Support reliability activities for other programs and researchers during lower Silicon Photonics workload periods.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We seek a dynamic engineer with hands-on qualification know-how. Ideally you tick these boxes:

Master’s degree in Electronics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering.

Demonstrated proficiency in Python and/or LabVIEW for data processing and hardware control.

Hands-on laboratory experience is essential, along with formulating test plans & strategies.

Experience with reliability failure mechanisms such as EM, HTOL, and TDDB is a must.

Excellent command of English.
