Join our team at VeroTech, where you'll play a pivotal role as a Process Engineer. Dive into the world of Medical manufacturing and leverage your technical expertise to make a significant impact.

About the role

Serve as the subject matter expert for all technical aspects of sterility cartridge manufacturing. Design, implement, and optimize early-phase assembly processes, ensuring alignment with product design and functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and improvement of early assembly steps aligned with product needs.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support design-for-manufacturability (DFM).

  • Help define process requirements, key parameters, and basic control methods for reliable manufacturing.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and process parameter documentation.

  • Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and contribute to p-FMEA.

  • Participate in scale-up activities, including equipment selection, automation considerations, and pilot-line layout.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure relevant ISO compliance.

  • Support tech transfer to internal teams or CMOs through clear knowledge sharing and process control.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are looking for an engineer with:

  • Master’s degree in Electromechanics or Biomedical Engineering, or a Bachelor’s with relevant experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering within medical devices, diagnostics, or life sciences.

  • Knowledge of production methods, process control tools, lean principles, and Six Sigma.

  • Hands-on experience in controlled environments (e.g., ISO Class 8 cleanrooms); experience in sterile/aseptic settings is a plus.

  • Experience scaling processes from early development to pilot or commercial production.

  • Good understanding of assembly and bonding techniques and reagent integration.

  • Experience with prototyping, jig/fixture design, and practical troubleshooting.

  • Familiar with GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA expectations.

  • Strong project coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable in a start-up-like environment.

  • Able to travel when required.

  • Dutch and English professional proficiency.
