Job description

Join high-impact, high-profile tech projects alongside top-tier teams in Belgium and around the world. Step into a key role where your expertise will directly influence industrial performance and product quality.

About the role

As a Production Manager Electronics, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning electronic prototypes into reliable, production-ready products that meet the strict standards of the defense industry. You’ll oversee the full industrialization and production process—from component selection to manufacturing—while ensuring high quality, testability, and repeatability. This is a strategic position that helps preserve and pass on critical, hard-to-find expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire production cycle: prototyping, industrialization, assembly, and testing.

  • Select and source electronic components, manage specialized procurement, and build realistic schedules.

  • Develop test tools (hardware and software) and test benches.

  • Lead and coordinate technical teams.

  • Apply deep knowledge of IPC standards and handle non-conformities.

  • Run both manual and automated tests using tools like LabVIEW and TestStand.

  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting (hardware/software).

  • Collaborate closely with design teams, even when documentation is incomplete.

  • Train and mentor local and international teams.

  • Participate in technical meetings and internal/external presentations.

  • Support process certifications and production qualification.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for

  • At least 15 years of experience in electronic production and industrialization.

  • Strong background in power electronics: design, assembly, wiring, layout, and testing.

  • Proficiency with ALTIUM (schematics and PCB design).

  • Solid experience with test tools—ideally TestStand and LabVIEW (training can be provided).

  • Comfortable with both manual and automated testing workflows.

  • Deep understanding of IPC standards: CID / CID+ (design) and IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620 (assembly, wiring, testing).

  • Good software skills to complement your hardware expertise.

  • Ability to design sub-assemblies and assess prototyping needs.

  • Fluent in French with good technical English.
