Project Engineer Fiber

As a Project Engineer Fiber, you’ll be responsible for designing coaxial networks and the associated infrastructure for fiber and COAX networks. You'll stay updated with the latest trends and advances in fixed networks through your design team, allowing you to work efficiently. Your designs are delivered to field colleagues, who bring them to life so you can see the results right away on the streets.

About the role

Your role involves a blend of design and coordination, ensuring the successful implementation of network designs. As the key connection point in your region, you will manage and execute high-level designs that integrate the latest network technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen your analyses through project-related coordination meetings and site visits.

• Utilize graphic tools to construct your high-level design.

• Prioritize and manage your project portfolio tasks effectively.

• Coordinate all design tasks, acting as the main point of contact in the region.

• Actively liaise with fiber engineers, site coordinators, and utility companies regarding network impact.

• Maintain regular contact with low-level design engineers to process your designs in detail.

• Validate detailed designs for implementation readiness.

• Update designs for minor project changes independently.

• Discuss individual projects with site coordinators who oversee execution.

• Collaborate regularly with recurring partners to build strong relationships and networks.

What we're looking for

We seek a professional with experience who also has the following abilities:

• Strong communicator for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Knowledge of utility sector and public domain infrastructure is a plus.

• Technical understanding of coaxial and FTTH networks is advantageous.

• Flexible and adaptable to changing projects and circumstances.

• A completed Bachelor’s degree.

• Native level in Dutch and professional in English.
