Project Engineer Substations

Join our team at VeroTech as a Project Engineer, focusing on substations in Flanders and Wallonia. Collaborate closely with the Project Leader and fellow Project Engineers to drive projects from feasibility studies to completion. Your technical expertise will be pivotal, bridging design teams, technical experts, and project leadership.

About the role

As a Project Engineer, you will be deeply engaged in all project phases, from conceptual feasibility to project closure. You will craft detailed technical aspects of the scope and project design, guiding preparatory studies. During the detail study phase, you lead the design team, ensuring quality outputs aligned with agreed scopes. Your role extends into the execution phase, providing essential technical support to the Project Leader, while maintaining clear communication on project progress.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate closely with the Project Leader and engineering team.

• Facilitate technical discussions and studies for project scoping and design.

• Lead the design team through detailed studies ensuring quality and scope alignment.

• Support the Project Leader during project execution with technical expertise.

• Communicate and report project progress effectively.

• Integrate diverse engineering disciplines within a project context.

What we're looking for

We seek an analytical and conceptually strong engineer capable of dissecting complex issues and crafting solutions in compliance with standards, taking into account RAMS criteria. Besides that you also posses:

• A Master's degree in electrical/electromechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

• A technical experience in high voltage domains is an advantage.

• Native fluency in Dutch and French; English is a valuable asset.

• Strong sense of responsibility and organizational talent.

• Great communication skills, assertive and client-oriented.
