Project Leader Substations Oost-en West-Vlaanderen

As a Project Leader at VeroTech, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of electrical substations across Oost-en West-Vlaanderen. With your expertise, you will drive innovative projects from inception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and operational excellence.

About the role

You'll be tasked with defining, studying, and designing projects, guaranteeing their execution up to commissioning and administrative closure. Your responsibilities will include developing preliminary designs, preparing budgets, and project planning while managing necessary resources. You will also oversee the planning, budgeting, and reporting processes to team leaders. Additionally, you will participate in preparing tender documents and engage in the procurement process, coordinating project implementation in collaboration with stakeholders from the Elia Group, including suppliers and contractors.

Key responsibilities

- Define, study, and design projects with a focus on execution and commissioning.

- Develop preliminary designs and prepare detailed budgets and plans.

- Manage project planning, budgeting, and team reporting.

- Collaborate on tender document preparation and participate in procurement.

- Lead and coordinate on-site project execution with involved entities.

What we're looking for

We seek a seasoned professional or a motivated recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering. High voltage knowledge and project management skills are essential, as is fluency in Dutch. French proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory. You should have a strong sense of responsibility, organizational talent, and excellent communication skills. Customer orientation, team spirit, and resourcefulness are crucial.

- Civil or industrial engineer in electrical or electromechanical engineering (MUST).

- Experience in project management (fresh graduates welcome).

- Knowledge of high voltage systems.

- Strong responsibility and organization skills.

- Excellent communication skills, customer-oriented, team player, resourceful.

- Fluent in Dutch; French is a plus.
