About the role

In this VeroTech consultancy role, you support a laboratory-based R&D environment focused on microphysiological systems. You perform routine experiments, contribute to cell culture activities and help develop organ-on-chip prototypes from design support through fabrication and assembly.

Your work helps connect biological research with engineering development. You assist in characterization studies, support quality control standardization, manage experimental data and contribute to smooth laboratory operations and project logistics.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory experiments and cell culture activities

  • Support the design of organ-on-chip prototypes in collaboration with technical colleagues

  • Assist with fabrication and assembly of organ-on-chip prototypes

  • Contribute to biological and engineering characterization studies

  • Support quality control standardization for experimental activities

  • Collect, organize and analyse experimental data

  • Coordinate practical tasks related to project logistics and laboratory operations

Job requirements

What we're looking for

We are looking for a structured and collaborative R&D profile with a scientific master’s degree, hands-on laboratory skills and a solid interest in cell-based microphysiological technologies.

  • A master’s degree in science with a background in biomedical engineering, biotechnology, life sciences or a related field

  • Basic knowledge of cell biology and tissue engineering

  • Hands-on laboratory skills in cell culture, biomaterials, microfluidics or organ-on-chip technologies

  • Ability to execute and document experiments accurately

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills

  • Strong organizational, communication and teamwork skills

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

  • Experience with immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy, qPCR or ImageJ, and familiarity with primary or stem cell culture, organoid models or organ-on-chip platforms
