(Senior) Azure Data Engineer

As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for crafting and maintaining comprehensive data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Your role will be crucial in delivering dependable data pipelines to Data Science, BI, and business teams, ensuring that our company's data operations run smoothly and efficiently.

About the role

Your main mission is to design, develop, and sustain scalable and secure data pipelines. You'll be at the forefront of implementing modern data architectures and automating data processes to enhance performance and manage cloud costs effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other Azure services.

• Implement modern data architectures like Data Lake and Delta Lake.

• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and exposure processes.

• Maintain the Microsoft Azure platform and optimize its performance.

• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and stakeholders to propose solutions.

• Document data flows, models, and best practices.

What we're looking for

We're seeking a highly skilled professional with a proven track record in data engineering to join our team.

• Proficiency with Azure services: Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Azure DevOps.

• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks, especially Spark, PySpark, and Databricks.

• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles for data engineering.

• Experience with Power BI administration.

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Strong communication skills and technical clarity.

• Native in French or Dutch, with a good level of English
